But the bedroom asks for something different from a device than the kitchen or living room does—so we designed an Echo specifically for it.\n\nToday, we’re introducing the all-new [Echo Time](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FRPDXJYC/ref=o_pr_echo_us_amznnews_time), a new smart alarm clock powered by [Alexa+](https://www.aboutamazon.com/what-we-do/devices-services/alexa-plus), purpose-built for the moments that bookend your day—delivering what you need, when you need it, without the extra noise.\n\n![A person laying in bed looking at an Echo Time on a nightstand.](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/595d21a/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2000x1126+0+0/resize/767x432!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F55%2Fe2%2F887d99e84bb6b250e22ca74534b1%2Fechotime-lifestyle-hero-amazonnews-ck102526.png)\n\n## The smartest personal alarm clock\n\nAt first glance, Echo Time looks like a clock. Made for your nightstand, it has a beautiful, spherical design with a 3.2-inch circular touchscreen—and there’s no camera. You can personalize on-screen information, and choose from hundreds of clock faces to fit any space and style, including timeless analog designs, nature-inspired backdrops, seasonal themes, or your favorite sports teams. You can even bring in characters from famous franchises like Harry Potter, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Powerpuff Girls. And changing the look is as easy as saying, “Alexa, change to a seasonal clock face.”\n\n![Different characters displayed on five different Echo Time devices.](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/95ed6e8/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1600x900+0+0/resize/767x431!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F95%2F3e%2F621626cc4fbf949e0576d9b3f3d6%2Fechotime-characters-inline-amazonnews-ck102526.png)\n\nWith the intelligence of Alexa+, you can also wind down and wake up with an experience tailored to you. Tell Alexa you need to be ready by 8 a.m. and can’t forget to grab your lunch before you leave, and Alexa will set an alarm for just the right time and queue up a timely reminder. When you’re ready for bed, ask Alexa to play relaxing music and she’ll pick the right playlist from your preferred music service, or have her set the room to a sleep-friendly temperature.\n\n![Echo Dot in four colors](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/bbd68f8/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1688x1125+156+0/resize/300x200!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fb6%2F93%2F5128f008463491be57e2a87deb30%2Fechodot-colors-motion-hero-amazonnews-ck102526.gif)\n\n- [Introducing the new Echo Dot and all-new Echo Studio with Home Camera](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/echo-speaker-lineup)\n\n## Designed around the rhythms of your day\n\nEcho Time adds science-backed wind-down and wake-up features that support healthier habits from bedtime to wake-up. It has earned the National Sleep Foundation's SleepMark, awarded to sleep products that meet evidence-based sleep health standards.\n\nEcho Time also comes with an optional smart alarms feature designed to help you ease into the day and wake up feeling more alert. Rather than waking you at a fixed time, Alexa detects when you're in lighter sleep and wakes you at the best moment—anywhere within 10 to 60 minutes of your set alarm. It's powered by Omnisense, our sensor fusion technology: room temperature sensors and presence detection build your sleep routine, while ultrasound detects breathing and proximity—all without a wearable. You can choose from a variety of customizable alarm tones, each starting quietly and building in energy with every snooze, up to four times.\n\n![An Echo Time in day mode and Echo Time in night mode.](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/8188b9c/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1600x900+0+0/resize/767x431!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F9c%2Fa5%2Fb3ff2b024493b81e9a1ddae1f06e%2Fechotime-dayandnight-inline-amazonnews-ck102526.png)\n\nEcho Time's display also adapts automatically throughout the day. In the morning, it mimics a natural sunrise, gradually brightening as your alarm approaches to ease you gently awake. In the evening, it shifts to night mode—dimming to show just the time or your next alarm, and reducing blue light to help you fall and stay asleep.\n\n## Amazon Kids Echo Time: A better start and end to the day for kids\n\n![Amazon Kids Echo Time on a desk interacting with a child. ](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/183c2c4/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2000x1126+0+0/resize/767x432!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F59%2Fac%2Fc02589114e0a8fb7ddf3c23dee36%2Fechotime-kids-lifestyle-inline-amazonnews-ck102526.png)\n\nEcho Time also comes in a version specifically designed for kids—Amazon Kids Echo Time. Powered by Amazon [Kids+](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/what-is-amazon-kids-plus-subscription), it allows kids to set their own alarms, check the weather before school, ask questions, and swap out clock faces to make the device feel like it's truly theirs. For kids, bedtime support comes through Sleep Studio—a feature that transforms Echo Kids devices into a complete bedtime system for families, with curated wind-down content from Calm, Headspace, and Moshi. Parents have total control of the experience and can set sleep schedules through the Amazon Parent Dashboard so wind-down begins automatically. Older kids can say, “Alexa, play Sleep Studio.”\n\n![Amazon Kids Tablets in two sizes](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/c111b34/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1689x1126+140+0/resize/300x200!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fb3%2F34%2F9d2f58c54f8ca89c10292d18195d%2Famazon-kidstablets-amazonnews-inline-ck10726.png)\n\n- [Amazon announces an all-new family of tablets designed just for kids](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/new-amazon-kids-tablets)\n\n## Built with privacy in mind\n\nPrivacy is built into every [Echo device](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/tag/amazon-echo) from the ground up, and customers are in control of their experience. There are clear visual indicators when Alexa is listening, and a dedicated privacy button turns the microphones off completely. Sleep sensing is opt-in by default, and can be turned on or off at any time via device settings in the Alexa app or by turning off the microphones using the mute button.\n\n## Pricing and availability: Echo Time smart alarm clock\n\n[Echo Time](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FRPDXJYC/ref=o_pr_echo_us_amznnews_time) is available today for $199.99 and comes in Graphite, Glacier White, and Coral Pink.
