Turn a cardboard box into a beautiful bouquet
After you've opened your package from Amazon, hold on to that box. By using the stencil linked below, you can transform the cardboard into something completely different: a bunch of flowers that won't need a vase (unless, that is, you want to make one).
Amazon has designed boxes so that they don't use as much cardboard. That's better for our environment, because it means you get the same box while using less energy and creating less waste. Another way to help the environment is to use boxes for something else before you throw them into the recycling bin—that's where this project comes in.
First, you'll want to print out the flower stencils and glue or tape them to the cardboard from your box. Next, follow the steps in the video to cut out and paint the flower pieces, then fit them together for your bouquet. The little leaf "feet" on the bottom of the flowers will help them stand up nice and tall, all by themselves.
If you like this project, we have lots of other ones here for reusing your Amazon boxes before you drop them in the recycling bin, such as making a fort, or maybe you'll come up with another creative idea all your own!
What you'll need:
- A cardboard box
- Paint and paintbrushes, or colored markers
- Flower stencils
