# Amazon delivers a night at the movies to local families in need

*More than 150 people attended Amazon’s event at Seattle’s Cinerama theater *

Amazon rented out iconic Seattle movie theater, Cinerama, for a night of fun for local families in immediate need.

Families associated with [Treehouse](http://www.treehouseforkids.org/), [FareStart](https://www.farestart.org/), and [Mary’s Place](http://www.marysplaceseattle.org/) were invited to spend the evening relaxing in Cinerama’s comfy chairs, enjoying the famous chocolate popcorn and unlimited candy, and watching three Amazon Studios shows – If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, A Snowy Day, and Pete the Cat: A Groovy New Year, which was an advanced special screening.

After the movies wrapped up, each child got to take home Legos, a stuffed animal, and their own copy of A Snowy Day book. Amazon employee volunteers were on hand to spread cheer and hand out the gifts.
