Now both are getting an upgrade: a next-generation Echo Dot that does more than ever and an all-new Echo Studio with Home Camera that gives [Alexa+](https://www.aboutamazon.com/what-we-do/devices-services/alexa-plus) visual intelligence to be able to see and do more. ## The most capable Echo Dot yet ![Echo Dot in four colors](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/213b87e/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2000x1125+0+0/resize/767x431!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fb6%2F93%2F5128f008463491be57e2a87deb30%2Fechodot-colors-motion-hero-amazonnews-ck102526.gif) Echo Dot is the speaker we’ve designed for everywhere you can imagine. Compact and versatile, it fits just as naturally on a desk as it does in the kitchen, office, or garage—and the new Echo Dot builds on everything people love about it. It's a compact, spherical speaker wrapped in premium 3D knit, audio-transparent fabric, and comes in a variety of colors to fit any personality, style, or room. Despite its size, it delivers sound you don't expect from a speaker this small. It's sound customers love: in the last year alone, there were more than one trillion minutes of music streamed on Echo Dot alone. And we’ve made it even better. A full-range driver built into the housing creates more back volume for crisp vocals and 50% more bass than the last generation. ![eero launch photos](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/fac2d7e/2147483647/strip/true/crop/9000x6000+500+0/resize/300x200!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fff%2F83%2Faa42e8d94d74af202dc17c16e9dd%2F1-hero-image-wi-fi-7-family.png) - [Everything you need to know about eero's popular mesh Wi-Fi systems and offerings, including the new eero Signal](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/eero-wifi) For the first time, Echo Dot is powered by AZ3, Amazon's custom-designed silicon, enabling advanced on-device processing for faster, more natural conversations with Alexa+. With the addition of a fourth microphone, Alexa can better hear you as you move around the room, even in busy environments—so Voice ID can recognize who's speaking and personalize your experience, like playing your favorite playlist instead of your partner's. And with Omnisense, our custom sensor fusion platform, Echo Dot can sense the environment around it, detecting things like room temperature and presence so Alexa can make your home more responsive—turning up the thermostat when the room is too cold, or turning on the lights as you walk in. The new Echo Dot makes the smart home easier and more accessible for everyone. We've built a smart home hub directly into Echo Dot for the first time, making it easier than ever to connect and control thousands of compatible smart home devices without needing a separate hub. Plus, a built-in eero Wi-Fi extender adds up to 1,000 square feet of coverage to your existing eero network, giving customers the benefits of a Wi-Fi extender that helps eliminate dead zones and keep more of your home connected. ## Amazon Kids Echo Dot offers endless fun for the little ones ![A parent and child laying on a bed, looking at a book. For the youngest in the family, the new Echo Dot is also available in a playful kids edition. [Amazon Kids Echo Dot](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GFQ2CSFQ/ref=o_pr_echo_us_amznnews_dotkids) offers all the same features and performance as Echo Dot and also comes with one year of Kids+—offering unlimited access to age-appropriate Audible audiobooks, ad-free music and radio stations, and kid-friendly podcasts. Kids can enjoy fun features built just for them, including Stories with Alexa—where kids propose characters and plots that turn into one-of-a-kind narrated stories—and Sleep Studio, which plays curated wind-down content from Calm, Headspace, and Moshi. Parents can set up a child profile that lets kids ask Alexa questions, with every response tailored to be age appropriate. ## Echo Studio with Home Camera, our most advanced speaker, now understands the room ![An Echo Studio placed on top of two books placed on a dresser.](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/6deb0e7/2147483647/strip/true/crop/2000x1126+0+0/resize/767x432!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fee%2F39%2F5710fd5842a99ca69f88eb92d40a%2Fechostudio-hero-amazonnews-ck102326.png) At its core, Echo Studio with Home Camera has the same powerful audio architecture that makes it our best-sounding speaker. A high-excursion woofer delivers deep, immersive bass and three optimally placed full-range drivers and Dolby Atmos fill the room with immersive spatial audio. New Advanced Room Adaptation continuously tunes the sound to your space, automatically adapting to the room's acoustics, while Adaptive Volume adjusts to where you are so your music or audiobook maintains the same volume as you move about. ![A camera recording of a living room on a phone view of Echo Studio with Home Camera.](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/a4bf536/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1600x900+0+0/resize/767x431!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F09%2F63%2F3c2c2cb4475990bfa7de22569f15%2Fechostudiowithhomecamera-inline-amazonnews-ck102326.png) The all-new Echo Studio with Home Camera builds on that foundation, making it even more capable with the addition of a built-in camera. Alexa gains visual intelligence to make everyday experiences more personal and helpful. Live View in the Alexa app lets you check in on the room when you’re away, whether you want to see how the dog is doing or make sure you didn’t leave the lights on. Alexa can also see and understand what's in front of the camera and help you in real time. Pull out a board game box and ask Alexa+ to explain the rules or hold up a cereal box and Alexa can recognize it and help you reorder more flavors. Soon, you will also be able to pair the Echo Studio with Home Camera with a compatible [Fire TV](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/tag/fire-tv) device to bring video calls to the big screen, making it easy to catch up with family and friends from the comfort of your living room. ![A view zooming in on the Alexa Home Map on and Echo Show 16](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/d223d0b/2147483647/strip/true/crop/1350x900+125+0/resize/300x200!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2Fed%2F40%2Fd3fdf3dd440a80ad7fa98cf9be6d%2Fechoshow16-alexahomemap-inline-amazonnews-ck102626.gif) - [Meet Alexa Home Map, an interactive 3D map that lets you see and control your home](https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/alexa-home-map-3d-smart-home-view) ## Built with privacy in mind Privacy is built into every Echo device from the ground up. Like all of our Echo devices, a dedicated button turns off the microphones and any included cameras. There are clear visual indicators whenever Echo devices with a camera are streaming images or video to the cloud to provide transparency—on Echo Studio with Home Camera, a built-in LED turns on. The standard Echo Studio remains available for those who prefer no camera. ## Pricing and availability [Echo Dot](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FXN2JWST/ref=o_pr_echo_us_amznnews_dot) is available today in Graphite, Glacier White, Agave Green, and Coral Pink for $99.99.
