Amazon’s Pro Bono Program, aka the Amazon Justice League, encourages and enables its legal department to provide legal services to underserved people, communities, and organizations that otherwise would not have access to the justice system.

Started in 2014 by Amazon’s SVP & General Counsel, David Zapolsky, Amazon Legal’s Pro Bono Program partners with community organizations and law firms around the world to offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to legal department members – ranging from providing immigration assistance, researching legal options available to refugees, resolving landlord-tenant disputes, advising non-profit arts organizations, to drafting wills for first responders and their families.

“Providing legal services to those unable to pay is not just an ethical obligation for attorneys - it gives the entire Amazon global legal team an opportunity to serve and learn about our community, and by extension our customers, in new and meaningful ways,” said David.
