Gerard Medioni is vice president and distinguished scientist at Amazon. He’s also professor emeritus at the University of Southern California, where he served as chairman of the Computer Science Department from 2001 to 2007. He is the recipient of 100 patents, a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
