Few decisions feel trickier for parents than choosing the right device for their child. They want devices and age-appropriate content that their kids will love and that they can trust. Amazon designed its Kids devices to solve for both.
Today, Amazon introduced all-new Amazon Kids Tablets—taking everything customers love, including the kid-proof case, built-in parental controls on Parent Dashboard, and a year of Kids+ featuring content from brands like Disney, Nickelodeon, LEGO, Harry Potter, and more—and adding AI-powered creative experiences and parent-managed access to Google Play. Available in 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes for kids ages 3+ and 6+, the new tablets give families even more flexibility to customize their child's experience, all while keeping the guardrails parents trust.

Ready-to-go bundles for every stage
The all-new Amazon Kids Tablets are ready-to-go bundles designed for kids at every age and stage. They come in distinct versions for pre-K kids (3+) and kids 6+, each shipping with hardware, a kid-proof case, and a 1-year subscription to Kids+—a carefully curated, age-appropriate collection of apps, videos, games, and books from brands kids know and love, including Disney, Nickelodeon, LEGO, and Sesame Street. Parental controls are built in from day one, with Parent Dashboard pre-installed on the tablet and also available as a free iOS and Android app for remote management. Every Amazon Kids Tablet comes with a 1-year limited warranty, so parents can have peace of mind.
Amazon Kids tablets are designed to keep pace with kids as they grow. Each version comes with a soft bumper for younger kids or slim hard case for older kids, content and experiences tuned for its age group. As a child's interests shift—from Bluey to Harry Potter, from coloring apps to homework tools—the experience evolves with them. Kids+ offers a range of content and characters kids love at each age, so the tablet they unbox today is still the right fit a year from now.
Real tablets, real hardware, kid-ready
Kids want a real tablet, not a toy. Amazon Kids Tablets run on Android and pack serious hardware into devices designed to last as kids' interests evolve. Parents get the familiarity of the Android experience alongside access to Google Play—managed through parental controls. Customers can choose from two sizes:
- Amazon Kids Tablet 8.7-inch: Features a vivid display, 14-hours video playback for all-day use, and 64 GB of storage so kids can bring their favorite content anywhere—perfect for downloading shows, games, and books to enjoy offline.
- Amazon Kids Tablet 11-inch: Provides a bigger, more powerful canvas for creating, learning, and playing, with a beautiful 2.5K display, 8 GB of RAM for graphics-intensive experiences, and stylus support for kids who love to draw or use their tablet for homework assignments.
Each tablet ships with either a soft bumper for younger kids, or slim hard case for older kids—with designs and characters kids love, from Paw Patrol and Barbie to SpongeBob SquarePants.

How the Parent Dashboard keeps parents connected
Amazon's Parent Dashboard gives parents and guardians a single place to manage their kids' digital experience. Parent Dashboard is pre-installed on every Amazon Kids Tablet, so parents can configure settings right on the device—and it's also available as a free app on iOS and Android, so they can manage everything remotely from their own phone.
From Parent Dashboard, parents can set screen-time limits, monitor their child's activities, and find age-appropriate books, apps, games, videos, audiobooks, and other content. They can set "Learn First" learning goals that prioritize Kids+ reading and educational apps before entertainment, control web browsing, and pause or resume a child's device remotely from anywhere. The Parent Dashboard also serves as a place parents can see what their kids are creating in Stories with Alexa, Storybuilder and Art Studio—from the stories they're writing to the artwork they're designing. Parents can create profiles for up to four children and configure settings across compatible Amazon devices.
New creative experiences purpose-built for kids
Kids+ introduces Storybuilder, a new AI-powered creative experience where kids use their voice to dream up characters, plot twists, and entire worlds—then watch their ideas turn into actual picture books and comic books they can share with their parents. Every interactive feature is purpose-built for kids, with guardrails that keep the experience age-appropriate and give parents confidence that their children are exploring safely.
More in store with Kids+ and Google Play
Every Amazon Kids Tablet comes with a full year of Kids+— a subscription packed with handpicked, ad-free content ready to go from day one. Kids+ is the only subscription for kids that spans books, shows, games, apps, and audiobooks—curated to be age appropriate and ad free—combining content and parental controls in a single membership. Younger kids can discover characters like Bluey and Peppa Pig, while older kids can explore worlds like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.
Kids+ works across a wide range of compatible devices—including Amazon Kids Tablets, Fire tablets, Kindle devices, Fire TV, Echo devices, and even adult Alexa-enabled tablets set up with a child profile. Ongoing subscriptions start at $7.99/month for Prime members ($8.99/month for non-Prime customers).
Because Amazon Kids Tablets run on Android, parents can use Parent Dashboard to manage access to the full Google Play store, making it easy for them to add apps beyond the Kids+ catalog as their child's interests evolve and new ones emerge. Every download goes through parental approval, so kids get more room to explore and parents stay in control.
