To celebrate Giving Tuesday, Amazon is again offering customers the chance to use their voice to donate a toy to a child in need this holiday season via Alexa and Toys for Tots.

Simply say, “Alexa, donate to Toys for Tots,” and Alexa will present a reasonably-priced item appropriate for kids across a broad range of ages from the Toys for Tots Charity List. After the customer confirms their order, Amazon ships it directly to Toys for Tots. Customers will be able to donate throughout the holiday season until December 31, 2019, and Amazon will match donations toy for toy.

Thersea and her son Kahbir work together at our fulfilment center in Robbinsville, New Jersey. This is Thersea’s fourth Peak season and her son’s very first—and his first job out of high school.

A mother and son who work together at an Amazon fulfillment center stand together at their workplace.

Thersea shares some thoughts on working with Amazon:

“There’s a lot of opportunity here and I love the people I’ve met here.”

“I love the insurance I got from Day 1—you can’t beat it.”

When asked about why she encouraged her son to get a job at an Amazon fulfilment center, she says:

“It was to teach him responsibility. I want him standing strong on his own two feet.”

Kahbir adds that he’s saving for a car, ideally, a Camaro.

Mike, who spent 30+ years in the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot, attends every new hire orientation to welcome new employees to the Amazon family, shares personal stories of his military service and his passion for leading with loyalty, integrity, and fairness.
