Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President of Agentic AI, AWS
Dr. Swami Sivasubramanian is the Vice President of Agentic AI at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Swami leads AWS's agentic AI portfolio, overseeing the development of AI agents that can autonomously investigate, reason, and take action to solve complex business problems. Swami's team has launched numerous agentic capabilities that are reshaping the AI landscape, including Amazon Quick Suite, Kiro, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, DevOps Agent, Security Agent, and Amazon Transform.
Before focusing on agentic AI, Swami led AWS's broader AI and machine learning portfolio, building and scaling some of the most widely adopted AI services in the cloud. He was the driving force behind Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock. Since joining Amazon in 2005, Swami has been instrumental in building many of AWS's most successful services. In September 2023, Swami joined the Amazon senior leadership team, or S-team.
Swami has been awarded more than 250 patents and authored 40 referred scientific papers and journals. He served as a member of the National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee from May 2022 through May 2025.
