Vidya Sampath, Senior Product Manager, Amazon Disaster Relief
Vidya Sampath is the global disaster response lead at Amazon, executing company-wide responses during major natural disasters and driving disaster relief product strategy. Vidya oversees Amazon's network of Disaster Relief hubs, which are located in six countries around the world and provide emergency supplies and technology to leading humanitarian nonprofits, including the American Red Cross and Save the Children.
Vidya joined Amazon in 2022. She brings more than 15 years of expertise in data analytics, medical supply chain logistics, public health, and humanitarian aid. Prior to Amazon, Vidya served as director and global team lead for Data Analytics at the nonprofit VillageReach, where she advanced COVID-19 vaccine delivery. She holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Mount Holyoke College.
