Key takeaways

  • Prime Video’s lip-sync technology delivers a more accessible viewing experience.
  • Syncing mouth movements to audio, it eliminates the disconnect that can occur with traditional dubbing.
  • The feature debuts on Maxton Hall S1-2 and will be available when Season 3 premieres on December 9.

Have you ever watched a dubbed movie only to notice the actors' mouths continuing to move after the dialogue has ended, taking you completely out of the story?

Prime Video is addressing this issue with a feature designed to create a more enjoyable and accessible viewing experience for our global customers.
The technology synchronizes actors' lip movements with human-dubbed audio, creating a seamless viewing experience that allows audiences to remain fully immersed in the story. AI and VFX technologies power the process behind the scenes, responsibly applied to deliver a better customer experience.

The feature will be available on Prime Video’s most-watched International Original series ever, Maxton Hall. Lip-sync dubs are available from today on Maxton Hall Seasons 1 and 2 globally in English and will also be included when the third and final season releases exclusively on Prime Video on December 9. The upcoming Season 3 is based on the 2018 novel Save Me by Mona Kasten.
