Key takeaways

  • Amazon Content Partners launches in gated preview for independent content creators.
  • Creators choose whether to allow Amazon to access their content, and can change that choice at any time.
  • Participation is voluntary and opt-in, with no fees and no minimum traffic requirements.

The way people discover content is changing. AI assistants and AI-powered search are reshaping how information is found online. The largest media companies have the scale and the teams to navigate it, but for the hundreds of thousands of independent bloggers, niche publications, and content sites, it is a different story.
Today we want to share more about Amazon Content Partners, a new program we are building for these independent content creators.
We're doing this because independent content creators are central to a vibrant, diverse web, and we want to help them keep thriving as discovery shifts toward AI. Amazon has worked with hundreds of thousands of these content creators for years, and Amazon Content Partners is a natural next step: bringing together tools, revenue opportunities, and infrastructure that help them grow as the way people find content changes.

What to know about Amazon Content Partners

Amazon Content Partners is a voluntary, opt-in program that brings together four things in one offering:
AI traffic management through AWS WAF, an AWS tool that gives content creators visibility into which AI crawlers are accessing their sites and the ability to block, rate-limit, allow, or monetize that traffic. Content creators have been asking for exactly this kind of visibility and control.
An additional +1% affiliate commission boost on eligible Amazon Associates sales.
Premium advertising access through Amazon Publisher Services, giving independent access to a premium advertising ecosystem that has historically been available only to larger publishers.
$100 a month in AWS hosting credits with CloudFront CDN included (Pro tier at $15 a month), reducing one of the real operational costs of running a content business.

How Amazon Content Partners works

To be eligible for these benefits, content creators choose to enroll their content with the program to help power Amazon AI experiences. This is entirely their choice. They stay in control of that decision and can change it at any time. When content creators are used as a source in one of Amazon's AI experiences, it can be cited with a link back to their site. This gives independent content creators visibility in AI-powered experiences where they might otherwise not appear.

Amazon’s commitment to creators

Amazon Content Partners is built on a voluntary, transparent exchange. No one is required to participate and enrollment is entirely the creator's choice, and they can opt out at any time.

Where to get started with Amazon Content Partners

Amazon Content Partners is in public gated preview now at contentpartners.amazon.com. We are working with an initial cohort of creators, gathering their feedback, and using it to refine the program before general availability later this Summer.
