What is Amazon Pay and how does it work?

If you’re shopping on multiple retail sites, it can be stressful to track your orders and manage payments across several websites. Amazon Pay can help streamline your order management and payments experience. Customers can use their existing Amazon account to make purchases on thousands of their favorite sites around the web. You get to enjoy the experience you know and trust on Amazon through other websites and stores where you already shop.

Amazon customers already have Amazon Pay, so there’s no setup or sign-up required. Once you find an item you love on the site where you’re shopping, just choose Amazon Pay (see example to the right) at checkout, and login with your Amazon account credentials. Instead of creating a new account or having to type in your billing and shipping details, you can speed through checkout in a few clicks.

Amazon Pay is available across devices including mobile, desktop, and even with an Alexa-enabled device.

Alexa and Amazon Pay make everyday activities a little easier. For example with Alexa Delivery Notifications through participating merchants, you can keep tabs on deliveries just by saying, “Alexa, Where’s My Stuff.”

And if you’re headed to the movie theater, you can skip the lines. Start by asking “Alexa, ask Atom for movie tickets,” to purchase tickets and order concessions using your voice.

You can also support a 2020 presidential candidate through Alexa, or donate to a charity of your choice by saying “Alexa, make a donation.” And soon you’ll even be able to pay your utility bills with just your voice using Amazon Pay with Alexa.
