On Monday, July 10th, our corporate office in Cambridge, MA, rung in the start of Prime Day with the announcement of Amazon’s continued growth in the city of Boston. The event included remarks from Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Massachusetts House Speaker Robert DeLeo, and we announced our third corporate office in the Commonwealth will be opening in the Seaport District.
Following the Mayor and Speaker, Ben and Camille Arneberg, Amazon sellers and owners of Boston-based businesses Willow and Everett and CubeFit, also spoke. The shared their story of growing two businesses by selling on Amazon, and the incredible impact it has had on their family.
The event closed with a $10,000 donation to Cambridge-based non-profit organization Science Club for Girls, which works to inspire the region’s next generation of technologists by helping girls in underrepresented communities build STEM literacy and confidence.
We have over 1,000 corporate employees innovating in the Boston area on teams like Alexa and Amazon Web Services. We love being in the heart of such a vibrant research and tech community and are excited to continue growing here.
