Back in 2011 Amazon "found" Bill during a time when he was looking for a new opportunity to grow and to challenge himself. Amazon’s customer-centricity, our willingness to think-big and in the long-term, and our peculiar writing culture immediately resonated with Bill.
Bill says, "Amazon’s leadership isn't afraid to experiment and take a long view on serving customers, which was very refreshing and inspiring to me." Additionally he enjoys that Amazonians do a lot of writing to present their ideas. "This forces clarity and thought, and ensures that great ideas stand on their own without requiring someone to be great at making a presentation."
Bill always knew he wanted to move back to his hometown of Pittsburgh, so when Amazon opened an office there in August 2015, he jumped on the opportunity to move home.
