Most of us have thousands of photos and videos on our phones—snapped at birthday parties, on family trips, during ordinary afternoons that felt worth capturing. Amazon Photos gives Prime members a free and convenient way to store all of them, with unlimited high-resolution photo storage and up to 5 GB of video storage included alongside the delivery, streaming, and entertainment benefits that come bundled with Prime.
But with libraries that span years, those pictures and videos often end up buried in a grid, accessible in theory but rarely revisited. Today, we're introducing a redesigned mobile app experience that brings your memories front and center the moment you open the app, making it easy to rediscover your favorite moments.
Here's what's new—and how to make the most of Amazon Photos.

A new way to experience your memories

When you open Amazon Photos, instead of a photo grid, you'll see a curated carousel of memories at the top of your screen—a weekend at the beach, your child’s first birthday, your family vacation—grouped and ready to watch. Tap any photo collection to play it back in full screen, with your photos flowing from one to the next. The app surfaces what's worth seeing automatically, so you don't have to dig through your archives or remember the exact date something happened.

On This Day, one of the app's most-loved features, is now easily accessible from your carousel. It brings back pictures and videos from the same date in previous years—what you were doing a year ago, or five—without you having to go looking for them.
We’ve also made it easier to find a specific picture, even if you don’t remember exactly when or where it was taken. With natural language search, Prime members can find any photo by describing it in plain language. Search "beach sunset last summer" or "kids playing in the snow" and Amazon Photos will pull up the photos that match.
The updated Amazon Photos app is available now on iOS and coming soon to Android, with more updates to the Amazon Photos experience coming later in 2026.

Amazon Photos works with Fire TV and Echo Show devices, so your favorite images can come to life around your home. From the app, tap the device icon and select "Personalize Amazon Devices" to choose which device you want to personalize. Enable “Daily Memories” to let Amazon Photos automatically rotate through great shots from your library, or select “Add More Collections” to display a specific album or photos of specific people or places.
And with Alexa+, showcasing your photos and pulling up specific memories is easy. Ask Alexa to show you pictures from your trip to Hawaii or a photo of your dog at the beach, and they'll appear on your Echo Show or Fire TV in seconds.
