Meanwhile, customers in the U.S. can also shop the first-ever Second Chance Savings as part of Amazon's Labor Day Deals event, running from August 28 to September 7.
What deals are available during Second Chance Deal Days?
Amazon offers over 60 million returned and refurbished items across nearly all product categories in Europe, helping customers save money and keep products in use longer. Second-hand shopping on Amazon already saves customers in Europe an average of 20% compared to the RRP of equivalent new products.

During Second Chance Deal Days, savings go even further. Thousands of deals on 'good condition' products are available across brands including Apple, Sony, Samsung, Beats, and LEGO.
For the first time, customers in the UK and Germany can also shop authentic pre-loved bags and accessories from Amazon Luxury seller Luxclusif, with a further 15% off the already-discounted prices during the event.
How to shop Second Chance Savings in the U.S.
Like in Europe, Amazon offers millions of returned and refurbished products in the U.S. and customers have saved an average of 20% compared to RRP.
Throughout Amazon’s Labor Day Deals event, Second Chance Savings gives U.S. shoppers the opportunity to save up to 30% off already discounted high-quality returned and refurbished items from brands like Ninja, Shark, Breville, Garmin, and ASUS as well as Amazon Pre-Owned Devices.
Last year, customers in the U.S. saved more than $1.5 billion shopping second-hand on Amazon, purchasing more than 100 million products. And Amazon has seen sales for our second-hand offerings grow at nearly $4 billion so far this year.
Top selling second-hand product categories include electronics, home, and kitchen, with top selling products including vacuums, espresso makers, phones, cameras, and tablets.
How Amazon gives products a second life
Amazon builds tools to help customers find the right product the first time. AI-powered review summaries and detailed product information help customers choose with confidence. Size recommendation technology means more than 90% of customers who buy the recommended size are satisfied with their purchase. Amazon also flags products with high return rates, alerting shoppers to check descriptions and reviews before buying.
When returns do happen, the priority is to keep products in use. Amazon inspects all customer returns, testing, cleaning and repairing them where necessary. Items in perfect condition go back on sale as new. The rest are sold at a discount, with larger savings on ‘used’ condition versus ‘like new’.

Amazon donates products that are not suitable for resale but are still in good, usable condition to charity partners, giving them a second life with families and communities who need them. In 2025, we donated or supported our sellers to donate 216 million items worldwide.
“Our latest investment of more than $4 billion in our returns operations across Europe is giving more returned products a second chance,” said Rory Feldman, European director of returns and recommerce at Amazon.
“Last year, customers saved €380 million shopping second-hand on Amazon, and demand keeps growing with second-hand sales across Europe exceeding €2 billion. Second Chance Deal Days give customers even greater savings, with every product rigorously inspected by our trained specialists.”
Where else can shoppers find deals on second-hand items?
Second Chance deals will also be available in both Mexico and Brazil from August 31 through September 6.
In Brazil, shoppers can enjoy discounts on pre-loved items starting at 10% off during Semana da Segunda Chance. In Mexico, Semana de Segunda Vida will offer customers up to 30% off selected pre-loved products.
