How to use Amazon Locker, the free and convenient way to pick up packages securely outside of your home

Amazon doesn’t just deliver to your home. Pick up your packages at one of more than 25,000 secure Amazon Locker locations near you—including more than 750 on college campuses.

Pickup locations let customers have eligible orders delivered to a convenient spot of their choice. Whether you live in a building without secure package storage, want to pick up an order while you’re already out, live on a college campus, need an order delivered while you’re traveling, or want to keep a gift a surprise, pickup offers a flexible alternative to home delivery.
Customers can choose from a range of options, including Amazon Lockers, Whole Foods Market, and other participating locations nationwide.

Amazon customers are on track to collect more than 100 million packages from pickup locations across the U.S. this year, and most customers in the U.S. have access to at least one of our pickup locations within five miles of their home.
“We want customers to be able to get their Amazon packages in the way that works best for them,” said Viraj Chatterjee, vice president of Amazon Transportation. “We’re thrilled to have a pickup network that meets customers where they are, whether that’s near home, work, school, or somewhere in between.”

How do you use an Amazon pickup location?

Customers have several ways to pick up their Amazon orders. During checkout, they can select the location that’s most convenient for an eligible order or find a pickup location to add to their Amazon address book. Customers can search by address, ZIP code, or landmark to find nearby options.
Once a package arrives, Amazon sends an email with the information needed to collect it—including a pickup code or barcode, along with the address and other location details.

Can you make Amazon returns at pickup locations?

Some Amazon pickup locations like Whole Foods Market stores also support returns.
To start a return, go to your Amazon account, choose an available drop-off location, and you’ll receive a QR code for eligible items. At many participating locations, there’s no need to find a box, tape, or print a label—just bring the item and your QR code. A team member will scan it and prepare it for shipping.
