The feature was first introduced during the holidays in 2022. Four years later, smiles continue, and the promotion reminds us to pause and recognize the drivers who deliver millions of Amazon packages to customers.
We are incredibly appreciative of the drivers who deliver to our customers every day, like Braulio Cabrera Casillas (Surprise, Arizona), Javier Galarza (Conshohocken, Pennsylvania), and Michael Keoma (Henderson, Nevada)—three of the most-thanked drivers from across the U.S. this year.
Michael Keoma is a delivery driver with Last Mile Logistics LLC in Henderson, Nevada.Keoma, a delivery driver with Last Mile Logistics LLC, delivers around 350 packages a day, amounting to more than 67,000 packages this year. He attributes his simple, yet effective approach to customer service for receiving more than 10,000 thank-you messages.
“No matter what area or section I’m in, I always make myself part of that community,” Keoma said. “I interact with customers when they’re present, say hello to people walking their dogs, and wave to people passing by.
“When customers take time out of their own day to interact with me in return, it’s always a positive experience.”
These two little words have big impact for Delivery Service Partners, small business owners who know their communities best, and their drivers.
“Thank My Driver has been one of the most successful driver appreciation activities I can recall,” Caleb Childers, owner of High Distinction Logistics in Las Vegas, Nevada, said. “My drivers are excited about having their hard work recognized. There’s a special connection when you realize customers want to thank me for the package I delivered to their house.”
FAQs
What is "Thank My Driver"?
Since Amazon opened its digital doors in 1994, not only has selection grown, but so has demand to deliver packages quickly and conveniently. Delivery drivers are making this happen every day, but it’s more than just the packages that they deliver—they form relationships with customers, provide support to the community in tough moments, and sometimes play the role of the unexpected hero.
We’ve heard many examples of this through social media, emails, phone calls, and when talking with friends and family. That’s why we developed the Thank My Driver feature that allows customers to directly thank drivers for making their deliveries. This feature is available to U.S. customers with an Alexa-enabled device (Echo, Echo Show), the Alexa app or an Amazon account (web and app), making it easy to thank drivers in the U.S. anywhere.
How do I thank my driver with Thank My Driver?
Any time a customer says, “Alexa, thank my driver,” to an Alexa-enabled device or searches “thank my driver” on Amazon (web or mobile app), the driver who completed their most recent delivery will be notified of the customer’s appreciation.
During the 2025 holiday promotion, and starting on December 3, drivers will receive $5 (with a maximum of one thank-you per delivery) at no cost to the customer. After the 2 million thank-you milestone is reached, every customer thank-you that follows until December 31 will count toward 1,250 daily prizes of $100 to the most-thanked drivers each day. This includes 1,000 to Delivery Service Partner Delivery Associates, 200 Amazon Flex delivery partners, and 50 Amazon Hub Delivery Associates.
Customers can continue to thank their driver via the feature all year round. Drivers can see the number of times they are thanked within their Amazon Delivery App or Amazon Flex App.
The feature was first introduced during the holidays in 2022, and since then, Amazon customers have thanked their delivery drivers more than 46 million times.
Can a customer thank the same delivery driver more than once?
A delivery driver can be thanked once per delivery.
Do I need an Alexa-enabled device to use this feature?
Customers can access this feature by utilizing the Amazon shopping app or anywhere you shop on Amazon.com. Just type “thank my driver” in the search portal anywhere you shop on Amazon.com.
