In 2019, we co-founded the Climate Pledge and made a commitment to reach net-zero carbon across our entire global operations by 2040. Amazon is investing in innovation across its operations to run more efficiently and sustainably.

That approach includes investing in AI to help us move faster, and farther to reach our climate goals. We believe that AI can be one of the climate movement’s most powerful tools, and we’ve only scratched the surface of what it can do. We've leveraged AI to maximize efficiency and improve our performance for our customers, as well as tackle real-world challenges—from protecting communities during natural disasters to helping farmers save water and even reducing food waste in our grocery business.
